Exceptional Dog Boarding
Services in Maplewood, NJ

Our Honeywell full-facility generator is now operational. This powerful 70-kW system ensures that air conditioning, heating, and fresh-air supply never falter—even during brownouts or blackouts—so your dog stays comfortable and safe around the clock.

Our dog boarding facility’s standard overnight rooms measure 4′ x 6′ (24 sq. ft.) and come fully furnished with cozy blankets, food, and water dishes. For multi-dog families, rooms can be easily customized into doubles, triples, or quads, ranging from 48 to 96 sq. ft., providing ample space for your pups.

We welcome you to bring your dog’s personal belongings—beds, blankets, toys, or even crates—to make their stay feel just like home. Our staff accommodates these items thoughtfully, ensuring a safe and familiar environment.

Social dogs who pass our trial have the exciting opportunity to join our weekday doggie daycare playgroups, enjoying about nine hours of playtime per day, and seven hours on weekends—keeping them happy, engaged, and well-exercised.

For dogs that prefer or require individual care, our staff dedicates private, one-on-one play sessions in a secure yard. During peak hours, every “individual” guest receives at least 10 minutes of playtime; when numbers allow, this can extend to 30 minutes per hour, ensuring no pup is left lonely or bored.

At Preferred Pet Care, Inc., we serve Fromm Gold Adult as our house food for overnight dog boarding guests, but we gladly accommodate your dog’s specific dietary preferences. Our full kitchen is equipped to prepare any diet you require—from kibble and canned foods to raw meals, prescription diets, or even special treats like Parmesan cheese, green beans, and carrots.

Feel free to bring your dog’s regular meals or purchase treats at check-in to keep their routine uninterrupted and their tail wagging with delight.
